Beginnings

I love beginnings.  They’re fresh…and new…and full of potential. 

Kind of like this blog.  Only different. 

Because…this blog isn’t exactly a new beginning.  It’s more like a refresh. 

Because…some of you have been here with me before.  But, truth be told, “before” was quite a while ago, wasn’t it?   

I’ve missed you.  

So, for you all…welcome.  Again.  

Others of you are here for the absolute first time.  And I’m just so excited about that.  So, for you all, welcome, as well – in an extra-special sort of way.  If I had a red carpet, I would most definitely roll it out.

But I don’t.  

So, for all of us…

I’m hoping Rhythms of His Grace will become a place of “Ahhhhhhhhh…” for our insides.  I’m hoping – young, old, and in-between…brand new, or back again – this spot will become a familiar place of comfort, peace, hope, and encouragement every time you hop on.  

Because…if your life is like mine, well, let’s just say, it can get a little rough out there, right?   

Because…if you’re at all like me, you need a comfortable place to relax and refuel from time to time, right?  

In fact, the more I think about it, what I really need is a place to help me turn my gaze upward…from downward…or inward…

Heck, sometimes, even outward can be doggone draining, right??

Yep. I need a regular dose of upward.  Upward rejuvenates.  Upward renews.  Upward relaxes.  Upward resets.  Upward refreshes.  Upward refocuses.  Upward recalibrates.  Upward re-creates. 

That’s it.  Upward re-creates.  And I don’t know about you, but my heart needs re-creating on a consistent basis.  

Because…life is challenging at best, isn’t it? 

And we all need some encouragement in the midst of the challenge.

We all need some nourishment in the midst of the drain.

We all need a place of quiet in the midst of the noise.  

We all need some simple in the midst of the clutter.  

We all need a bit of solitude in the midst of the crowded.

And we all need to journey together with others who get us…who are for us…and who are headed in a direction similar to our own…

I hope Rhythms of His Grace will grow to become all that to you, and so much more.  Please share your thoughts and comments with us below.  We want to hear from you, and grow together with you.  We want to chat with you, and learn from your insights and questions.  We want to get to know you and benefit from your wisdom and life experiences.

So….welcome, everyone!  I’m soooooooo glad you’re here.  And I’m looking forward to what lies ahead for each one of us in the days to come.

Because…we need each other.  And upward is a very good thing!
